Kelly Clarkson, an American singer-songwriter and actress who won the American Idol competition in its initial season. She was America's Sweetheart. The win was more than an enormous success and a huge success, it also earned the singer a contract to record multiple albums from RCA Records 19 Recordings & "S Records. From her first appearance in the series, she has released a number of albums. Of those albums three reached number one on the US Billboard 200. The other albums were also close to reaching the top position. She's one of the biggest artists that have come out from American Idol. To achieve her success she played around with various musical styles, and explored subjects. She earned critical acclaim and a number of prestigious awards for her individuality and singing prowess. One of her most memorable achievements is the fact that she was awarded 3 Grammy awards. Her music career is not her only occupation. Her appearances in television and film. She is also the author of the children's novel River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and is involved in numerous charitable organisations.
