Jacqueline Fernandez
Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Sri Lanka. She is an actress and model, who has primarily worked within the Indian film industry. She is also the winner from the 2007 Miss Sri Lanka Universe pageant. Fernandez, who is of Canadian, Sri Lankan, Malaysian and multiracial ancestry, spent most of her growing up in Bahrain. After receiving a mass communications diploma from the University of Sydney, she was employed as a reporter in Sri Lanka as a television reporter for a few years prior to becoming a model. In 2006 she represented her country as Miss Universe and became one the most popular models in Sri Lanka. Jasmine's character was offered to her in Sujoy Ghosh's 'Aladin' during her 2009 professional tour of India. She had her breakthrough in 2011, when she played the lead female role in Murder 2. Fernandez had a successful professional career post-film, which was both a success at the box office as well as among critics. Seit then she has appeared in movies such as Housefull 2 or 3, Race 2, Definition of Fear, as well as Judwaa 2 Additionally, she has been the brand ambassador for a variety of internationally-known brand names. Involved in her community, she has been a patron of numerous charitable organizations and causes.
